The mind should be calm.  If the mind is not calm, one cannot concentrate, and when the arm is raised, whether forward or back, left or right, it is completely without certain direction. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain a calm mind.  The entire mind must also experience and comprehend the movements of the opponent.
- Li I-Yu

Control your movements so that they are slow, even and continuous, gradually your inner force will develop which will become unceasing. Think of the circular path of each movement, in tai chi every movement is in curve or circle that has no ending or beginning.

T’ai Chi Chuan
Chi Gung
Classes Now Available

Grace can be a description of your life.  You can cultivate gracefulness by practicing Chi Gung and T’ai Chi.  No force is used in practicing gentle chi exercises.  Chi moves, chi speaks and chi sings a natural, sweet and happy melody.  You can express its melody of natural transformation through your movements and your life.

When t’ai chi is practiced regularly and ritualistically, it helps fortify the wholeness of your humanity and keeps it from being fragmented.  One is able to feel the interplay of the original primal opposites which are the source of our polarized psychic state called yin and yang.

Regular t’ai chi practice enhances the function of the central nervous system, keeps the joints flexible, the muscles toned, and improves the operation of internal organs.  The slow, soft movements tend to neutralize the stress and tension resultant of modern urban culture.
Done correctly, t’ai chi invigorates the human organism by stimulating the chi (your natural bioelectric energy field) which courses through conduits of the body known in acupuncture as meridians, thus activating the meridian network to reduce congestion and strengthen weak functions.

Words can only take you so far toward an understanding of t’ai chi.
For further insight and greater gain, a better instrument is needed.

You must begin practice.
