Why join a men's group?
• 80% of those who have serious drug addictions are men.
• 80% of the homeless on American streets are men.
• Men are 43 times more likely than women to be admitted to psychiatric hospitals and 25 times as likely to end up in prison.
• 80% of suicide deaths are men.
• Life expectancy for men is 7 years less than for women.
• Men have higher death rates in the 15 leading causes of death.
We come together in groups to support each other in making positive changes. In these groups, we exchange information about all that is being hidden from us. We also share our life purpose and intentions and encourage each other to live these as fully as we can. We support each other in transforming fear into acceptance and love. And we inspire each other to take responsibility for our lives and to be the best that we can be. When we gather in groups to support each other in these intentions, we join in building a growing network of inspiration and empowerment around the planet.
This support group gives men the opportunity to safely share feelings, overcome isolation, build friendships and be "at home" with others. Take heed. Having a good support system is not only critical to your well-being, it is simply good medicine.
